Greetings again from Honduras!

It is another beautiful day in Honduras.

Yesterday's post got kind of skewed so you need to scroll down to start reading it. The photos are out of order today because I am having trouble getting photos where I want them and I wanted to post this tonight.

Today is the memorial of Saints Anne and Joachim (the parents of Mary and grandparents of Jesus). At Mass this morning, Fr Richard asked us if our lives were built on a solid foundation and what we would need to change to make it firm in Christ?

The roofing team started to put the metal roof on. The woman who lives there is so thrilled that we came to do this for her. She had put up some of the roof herself previously that consisted of black garbage bags. Each time we come she greets all with a hug and a kiss. The team is humbled by her gratitude.

The digging team returned to Dona Olga's home. She is an amazing woman. She helped carry rocks and buckets of the rock being chipped away as much as the team did. She too, is full of gratitude for the help that we are doing. The team thought that they had at least one more day of digging. They took the afternoon off and are helpi

ng with the painting and the Adventures in Faith (AIF)team this afternoon.

The painting team started painting the ceilings and the walls in the one of the bedrooms, the living area and the outside some. The colors are a light greenish-yellow and light pink. It really looks nice. In the afternoon, the girls of Casa Milagro helped paint the house too.

The AIF team returned to the same locations as yesterday. We drive to two different aldeas, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. In the morning, the school has let the children out of school to come. Children in Honduras go to school for only a half day, either the morning or the afternoon. In the aldea that we are in in the afternoon, the children attend school in the morning. Apparently, the word has spread through the aldea that we are there so this afternoon we had almost double the number of children in attendance. In the afternoon, we have four or five Hondurans helping us, including Maria (age 17) and Stephanie(age 16) who speak perfect English. The children are so full of joy and we love to see and hear them laughing. The beautiful faces rarely stop smiling.

Things are going well and thank you for your prayers.
